Horror icon Lon Chaney, Jr. taking a break on the set of Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man to nap with his pal Moose. Moose was an actor in his own right, performing in several movies for Universal including The Wolf Man – in which the German Shepard played the wolf whose bite turned Chaney’s character Larry Talbot into cinema’s most iconic werewolf! Chaney and Moose bonded so closely while working on The Wolf Man that Moose became a regular presence on sets Chaney worked on until the dog’s unfortunate passing in 1944.
