Hey Overwatch fanartists! I just wanted to make a short info post about the awesome cool Waveracer DVa skin! Not only is it a reference to common Korean beachwear (with the long-sleeve bathing suit top and lifejacket) as I mentioend in this tweet, but the shirt pattern is NOT just a generic hibiscus flower! 

It’s the Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus, 무궁화 in Korean), the national flower of Korea!!! There are several differences between the two flowers as well. While both are in the Mallow family, the Rose of Sharon is a temperate climate flower and as you can see in the graphic above, the design usually displays a shorter pistil! I am not bashing any artist who already drew D.Va with a generic hibsicus flower pattern, just wanted to show how neat Blizzard managed to add all these little details in her new skin!
