okay i don’t even go here but listen. midoriya is constantly lifting and doing weight strength training exercises and one day he gets this brilliant idea. he’s like. ochako can you make this thing zero-gravity and she’s like okay. so she makes this semi-truck zero-gravity and deku picks it up and he’s braced himself and he’s like, okay, release. and ochako is like deku it’s literally gonna crush you and he’s like nah just do it. and she releases and the weight of this semi truck hits him full force and midoriya’s knees are buckling and he very nearly gets crushed but eventually he gets better. it’s a safe n easy way for him to practice immediately coming into contact and having to absorb tons of weight instantaneously. it helps ochako up her abilities, and eventually they advance in this training technique so well that she can float any object above deku and then release it without warning, and deku just catches it.
so next time he’s on the first floor of a burning building and the floors above him start coming down, deku braces himself and he’s ready. because he’s used that training technique with ochako so many times. he’s got this
