Tenya iida is the most underappreciated character in bnha this bitch from DAY ONE is the most genuine and caring dude like he fucks up on the entrance exam, apologizes to deku immediately, learns from it, and from then on is always considering how he can improve as a person. Next day he shows off his teamwork skills by recognizing ochaco can get him up above everyone where he can guide them to the exits, does his best leading everyone. Becomes class president and takes it SO SERIOUSLY like he cares for everyone in that class on an individual level and really wants to see the class succeed. He stays calm and rational and gets help, effectively saving the students in the UA attack without going beyond his limits as a student himself or doing something stupid. Is the first student to have a supermove. Recognizes his mistake running off to fight stain, and how he put his friends in danger, then gets so scared for them when they try to do smth similar. Keeps the class together tho, recognizes that trying to stop them would be dumb, and goes along, using what power he has to keep them safe, and helps them bring bakugo back home, because even tho he doesnt like the situation, HES CLASS REP AND BAKUGO IS HIS CLASSMATE, like goddamn. Finds aoyama in the provisonal liscence exam and carries him to victory, when he could’ve easily went and passed himself, even though there were less than 10 slots left. Like deku and bakugou inspire the class to do better, sure, but Tenya is constantly pushing everyone to be their best selves while bettering himself and learning all he can. Hes just,,,, so good,,,
