Miraculous Eyes

Chapter One – Dear Old Friend

And here I am, always and in any case! ☚(*´∀`☚)

Sooo… before saying anything else I would like to point out that the original characters obviously are not mine but of the great and almighty Thomas Astruc, except from the last one that has been completely invented by me (and please if some poor soul wants to redraw her or else, please ask for permission before [also because I would be curious to see it! (◕ ω ◕✿) ])
Another thing is that the comic was hand-made in paperwork, colored with the Copics and then edited to the computer by me.

Let me know if it’s worth continuing it and if you are curious to know how the story continues! (^³^)~♪

the life and times of chloe bourgeois

agrestenoir:

i.

The rules of the Bee Miraculous are simple:

        1. Your job is to protect the hive and ensure its survival. You’re the queen, the worker, and the drone.

        2. Bees give chase; they never run away.

        3. Remember that your stinger is lethal—to both you and your enemies.

Chloe promises to keep them in mind when she gets the Miraculous, but like most promises in her life, they tend to get broken.

ii.

Chloe often wonders who decided that she was deserving enough to receive the Bee Miraculous. Pollen tells her time and time again that it doesn’t matter—once you’re Chosen, nothing can change that save for dire circumstances. Having created a good percentage of Paris’s akumas, Chloe is sure she’s come close to “dire circumstances” before, but her kwami simply shakes her head and insists that Chloe is worrying for nothing.

“You were chosen for a reason,” Pollen tells her one late evening as she stands on the room of her father’s hotel, staring out over the lit Paris skyline. “You need to stop concerning yourself over what it is and work on living up to it.”

Chloe still wonders.

iii.

Meeting Ladybug and Chat Noir for the first time is a whirlwind of luck and destruction.

Chat Noir narrows his eyes the moment she whizzes into battle, knocking the akuma off the Eiffel Tower, like he’s trying to see right through her. The spark that lights up in his eyes tells her that he might have found something she doesn’t even know she was hiding. In the months following that first battle, she’ll wonder what he saw that night that told him she could be trusted, that let him believe they were meant to be friends.

here are my thoughts on the bullshit

8-xj:

okay i said i wasn’t going to think about it but honestly? i can’t NOT because what this fucking company has done is too vile for me not to think about it.

in miraculous ladybug, we have several POC. the main character is a mixed race asian girl. her best friend, alya, is a black martinican girl. adrien’s best friend, nino, is a black moroccan boy.

and alya and nino, at some point, are going to join marinette and adrien as recurring main superheroes. i thought it was fucking fantastic when i first heard that alya would become a sidekick to marinette, but then carapace was announced, and i almost dropped dead. think of all the kids who not only have ladybug, an asian superhero to look up to, but rena rouge and carapace!

never were they shown being “lesser” or “expendable.” they were not treated as something to give the main characters leverage and for nothing else. they are shown with real feelings and struggles, they are not props. they have their unique interests, their desires, and passions. they are some of the most well-rounded and flawed tritagonists i’ve ever seen.

but then… zag decides to go and toss this hideous comic out there. (warning: racism)

not only does it sexualize marinette, a 14/15 year old girl who is practically fresh out of middle school, but it portrays the black charity workers with disgusting stereotypes, and it sets marinette up with racist dialogue. she calls them “LOOTERS,” FOR FUCK’S SAKE.

it’s cruel to marinette, who is an underage asian girl and should not be sexualized as this adds to the stereotypes of her race, and it’s just plain disgusting because she’s a kid. it’s cruel to all black POC out there who are fans of the show. it’s cruel to alya and nino, who are canon black characters.

it’s just plain fucking racist.

please fucking email zag about this. this bullshit can’t be tolerated, and black kids who watch the show should not have to be exposed to this god-awful comic.

their email is info@zag-inc.com. their twitter is zaganimation. jeremy zag’s twitter is zagtoon.

and by the way, we shouldn’t settle for it just being “put out of production.” those harmed by this POS comic deserve a public apology not only from those who assisted in the writing of it, but zagtoon themselves.

psa; miraculous

adriexnette:

hello friends.

Tomorrow, on September 22nd in France, there will be another TFOU conference where they will be showing journalists and others the first two episodes of Miraculous Ladybug.

i’m not dumb. i know that things will be recorded and posted.

but PLEASE. TAG YOUR SPOILERS. MAYBE DON’T EVEN REBLOG OR SHARE THOSE EPISODES IF THEY DO GET LEAKED. DON’T POST THEM IN PLACES WHERE PEOPLE CAN FIND THEM WITHOUT MEANING TO.

after all of these spoilers coming out, Thomas and the team have been feeling very discouraged, with some of their surprises ruined for fans.

i can’t force you to do anything. but please be mindful of others tomorrow.

please.
